EALT Seeks Additional Board Members

The Edmonton and Area Land Trust (EALT) is seeking new Directors to join its board.  EALT is a non-profit organisation dedicated to conserving local and regional natural areas. Such areas support a range of values, including: health, child & family development, economic, cultural, scenic, and environmental. In the last 10 years, EALT has secured and stewards 12 conservation lands in Edmonton and 8 surrounding municipalities.

EALT’s Board provides leadership, and strategic governance, and envisions an Edmonton region where natural area systems are valued, protected for future generations, and play a key role in residents’ lives. We conserve natural areas by accepting land donations, stewarding them forever, and building partnerships and educational outreach.

EALT may have a total of 13 Directors.  We were founded by a range of organisations, a number of whom are currently represented, but we currently require additional perspectives, particularly from regional:

  • Business

  • Media and communications

  • Fund development

  • Community connections

  • Industry

We invite those interested to provide a resume and cover letter detailing how an applicant can support key aspects of the work of EALT’s Board.

  • Developing policies that support EALT’s commitment to charitable and legal accountability, integrity, and support of conservation

  • Contributing to strategic and developmental discussions aligned with the vision of EALT
