How fast four months has gone! I cannot believe my internship with EALT is almost over and my schooling at NAIT will begin again. What an incredible journey and experience this has been, where I have learned so much and had a ton of fun along the way!
Working for EALT has opened my eyes to conservation in action. I have seen and participated firsthand in conserving pieces of land with EALT. I am so blessed to have been able to work with Rebecca, Steph, and Pam. They are certainly experts in their own fields. I have learned to identify plants and birds among many other skills.
It has been such an honour to be a part of all that EALT has done this summer. Taking part in researching bees and their ‘hotels’, managing weeds, doing field work, and placing geocaches have been some of the major highlights of my time. One of my favorite memories is definitely placing the geocaches on all of the properties with Steph. I have been challenged to become greater and pushed to excel. I loved every minute of this opportunity! I am looking forward to volunteering with EALT in the future and staying connected to what they are doing.
Thank you so much for this opportunity!
