Conservation is a community effort. The Earth Ambassador Program fosters partnerships with businesses and corporations to build support for local nature conservation, which benefits the community, residents, wildlife, and the environment.
The Edmonton and Area Land Trust invites local businesses and corporations to participate in the Earth Ambassador Program to make a difference in your community in honour of Earth Hour and/or Earth Day.
By participating in EALT’s Earth Ambassador Program, your business is supporting the conservation of local natural areas. Explore our website for more information about EALT’s important environmental stewardship and conservation work.
One exemplary Earth Ambassador will win the Earth Ambassador Award! This is a feel good way to receive unique exposure for contributing to nature conservation. The Award is based on a variety of criteria and the following aspects are taken into consideration: size of business, funds raised, volunteer contribution, and creativity. The winner will be awarded on World Environment Day on June 5, 2019.
All participants will receive an Earth Ambassador Certificate to proudly hang in their establishment to acknowledge their contribution to local nature conservation. Each Earth Ambassador will also receive acknowledgement on EALT's social media, E-Newsletter, and website blogs and news release.
We will reach out to our networks, to introduce your initiatives to EALT supporters, getting new customers through your doors and/or illustrating your exemplary staff engagement, giving your employees a strong sense of purpose.
Your business will be introduced and recognized on EALT's social media channels at least 3 times.
Your business’ initiatives will be mentioned in our newsletter which is emailed to >1,800 EALT supporters. Additionally, your participation will be detailed in two posts on our Nature Notes Blog, to which we have independent subscribers, and to which followers may link.
Support from proceeds from a specific hour, day, or week, will be posted in our Events Calendar which is frequently viewed by EALT's 980 volunteers and/or mentioned in our Volunteer Newsletter.
We suspect these numbers to be leveraged as we outreach to mainstream media and others' newsletters about the award (such as the City's Edmonton NextGen news).
We will provide you with 2 or 3 custom graphics along with suggested wording for your own social media posts that you can simply copy and paste.
Your businesses logo will be displayed on the Earth Ambassador Program page for at least one year, or on an ongoing basis if you participate annually.
