Earth Ambassador Program

Conservation is a community effort. The Earth Ambassador Program fosters partnerships with businesses and corporations to build support for local nature conservation, thereby benefiting the community, residents, wildlife, and the environment.

The Edmonton and Area Land Trust invites local businesses and corporations to participate in the Earth Ambassador Program, in honour of Earth Hour, to make a difference in your community.

By participating in EALT’s Earth Ambassador Program, your business is supporting the conservation of local natural areas.  Explore our website for more information about EALT’s important environmental stewardship and conservation work.

2017's Earth Hour is on Saturday, March 25th

Whether you're open or closed on Saturdays, or during Earth Hour (8:30-9:30 PM), your business can become an Earth Ambassador. Choose one of these ways to contribute to the environment, or develop your own creative way to participate.

  • Donate a portion of sales from a select hour, day, or week to EALT.

  • Donate proceeds from a specific product or service to EALT.

  • Host an EALT fundraiser with staff (i.e. 50/50 draw, bottle drive, exercise class, etc.).

  • Staff volunteering for EALT to further local conservation efforts.

Register your activity details with Steph Weizenbach, Outreach Coordinator, EALT, or 587-335-5382. To qualify for consideration in the Award, your activity must occur between March 11, 2017 - April 8, 2017, and results reported by April 10, 2017.

The Award is based on a variety of criteria and the following aspects are taken into consideration: size of business, funds raised, volunteer contribution, and creativity. The award is presented near Earth Day, April 22nd.
