Summer is the perfect time to get outside and collect some flower petals to create this beautiful flower petal suncatcher. Hang it in your window and enjoy for months to come!
What you’ll need:
Clear contact paper
Glue and/or tape
What to do:
First, go outside and collect some flower petals from your garden or from wildflowers in your neighbourhood.
Cut two large pieces of contact paper, peel the backing off one and put the other piece to the side.
Tape the contact paper to the table (sticky side up) to keep it in place while you create the suncatcher.
Grab the flower petals you collected and place them carefully on the piece of contact paper.
Once you have used up all the petals, peel the backing off the other piece of contact paper and carefully place it over the top of the petals with the sticky sides together.
Trim the edges of the contact paper into the shape you want.
Hang the suncatcher!
Where is the best place to find blooming wildflowers? Why do you think the flowers like to grow there?
What different colours of petals could you find? Why do you think the petals are different colours?
