EALT recognizes the value of promoting original nature artwork, as well as the need to support our local artists. The 50/50 art pilot project allows half of the proceeds to go to the artist and half to fund local conservation. This is a win win win for everyone involved!
The Story behind Raymond’s artwork:
Raymond Theriault is well known for his paintings of the urban landscape and the effects of artificial light on the spectator, especially at night. Of late, he has become more concerned about environmental issues and natural area conservation, and strongly believes that solutions begin in our own backyard. He has been exploring the medium of monoprints and monotypes, and developed a series, Images of Nature, based on plein air drawings at all of the EALT conservation lands. He finds EALT properties oases of peace and tranquility, and hopes to use these prints as a vehicle to raise awareness and funds for EALT.
