Children or youth are welcome to participate in volunteer events with you for tasks that they can do safely and are suitable for their age and maturity. 16-17 year olds may participate without a parent or guardian present, but must have a volunteer agreement signed by a parent or guardian. Please contact us in advance if your child wishes to volunteer with us so we can ensure that the event is suitable.

Volunteer activities at EALT vary in their difficulty and risk level. Trails on our sites are rustic and may be overgrown at times, and most sites do not have bathrooms. Hand tools such as cordless drills, hand pruners, and tree loppers are used at many events.
