Weeding for Wildlife at Coates

Come to our first volunteer day at Coates, our newest conservation site! We will be removing the small patches of weeds in the riparian area of the creek to ensure quick control and to prevent further spreading of the common tansy found there. Get an exclusive first peek at this beautiful site, and we may even get to see some evidence of dinosaurs too!

We will meet at 8:30 am and carpool to the site, getting back to Edmonton around 3-4 pm. Wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothes, and bring a lunch, water, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a camera or binoculars if you'd like. Tools, gloves and extra snacks will be provided. Additional information will be sent to you several days in advance of the event.

Email Nikki at nikki@ealt.ca to sign up or for more information.
