Indigenous Land Stewards
This Summer marks the start of our Inidgenous Land Stewards program. This program is one aspect of the larger Land Based Learning project(link).
This program is aimed to foster reconnection of land and people. The importance of Indigenous Stewardship of the lands on which we reside cannot be understated. We look forward to facilitating this important work.
This first year will have three primary focal points.
Medicine Garden
The Medicine Garden was built in 2025 in collaboration with Indigenous Community Partners. The garden contains over 60 species of native forbs and is approximately 1600m2. The garden also has specific plots for Sweet grass, Juniper, Tobacco, and Sage.
