Indigenous Peoples Day: Tending to the TELUS World of Science – Edmonton Medicine Garden

Telus World of Science Indigenous Peoples Day: On June 21, recognize and celebrate the cultures and worldviews of Indigenous Peoples who traditionally stewarded the lands of amiskwaciy-wâskahikan, Beaver Hills House (Edmonton), through various community experiences.

EALT will be running an event at the TELUS World of Science – Edmonton Medicine Garden from 10:15 am - 3:45 pm

We will begin with a smudging circle, then start weeding, planting native plant plugs, and spreading seeds. At lunch we will be making tea from freshly harvested mint and throught the day we will be making native plant giveaways

We will begin outside of The Science Centre at the Medicine Garden at 10:15 am.

What to wear and bring:

  • comfortable footwear

  • layers for the conditions

  • water

This is an open drop-in event, you do not have to sign up for this event through sign up.
