Every year, our wildlife cameras capture incredible moments that offer a glimpse into the diverse species found across our Conservation Lands. From elusive predators to growing families and familiar forest residents, these images showcase some of the remarkable wildlife encounters throughout 2025.
Why use Wildlife Cameras?
The wildlife highlights featured below are made possible by our motion triggered wildlife cameras. Some of the most fascinating wildlife moments happen when no one is around to see them, and these cameras allow us to capture those moments with minimal disturbance to the animals. By documenting the species and behaviours found on our Conservation Lands, wildlife cameras can provide us valuable insights that help support our conservation and stewardship efforts.
Wildlife Families
Among the most memorable captures from 2025 were moments of wildlife caring for their young. Our cameras recorded a black bear with her cubs, as well as a moose accompanied by her calf.
These sightings remind us that conservation lands provide important habitat where wildlife can find food, shelter and safe places to raise their young. Moments like these are especially meaningful as they reflect healthy ecosystems that support the next generation of wildlife.
Wild & Funny
While many of our photos highlight the calm and nurturing side of wildlife, our cameras also record moments that show a more unexpected and playful side of nature. Not every encounter is serious, some are simply funny, surprising, or a little bit chaotic in the best way. These lighter moments offer a different perspective on the animals that share our conservation lands.
Carnivores on Camera
Our wildlife cameras also captured some of the elusive species that call our conservation lands home. Throughout the year, our cameras recorded a Canada lynx carrying a snowshoe hare, a cougar passing through at night, a great blue heron along the water’s edge, a red fox travelling across the landscape and a curious coyote pausing to look toward the camera.
As you explore our conservation lands, keep in mind that wildlife is all around you. Always stay aware of your surroundings, give animals plenty of space and enjoy these incredible species from a safe and respectful distance.
Everyday Encounter
Beyond the larger and more unexpected wildlife moments, our cameras also capture the familiar species that make up the everyday landscape. Sightings of mule deer, northern flying squirrels, skunks and ruffed grouse showcase the variety of wildlife found across our conservation lands.
You can support the stewardship and monitoring work that goes into taking care of these homes for wildlife.
A special thank you to our dedicated volunteers for their time and effort in monitoring our wildlife cameras and processing wildlife photos. Their support plays an important role in helping us better understand and protect our Conservation Lands.
See you again for next year’s highlights!
